Meet our Founder, Nash Kassam

Hi there,

My name is Nash Kassam – I am the founder of healthcaremarketing.ca and a practice growth specialist. It all started in 1988 when I was born as a twin to a mother and father who are both dentists.

At the tender age of 7 my twin and I were working in their office answering the phones and filing paperwork away. By 11 we were designing them business cards, letterheads, and in office presentations. In 2010, after my twin and I both graduated with business degrees, we started a software company that helps healthcare professionals generate more referrals and reviews.

During the year it took to build our software, my parents hired me to manage the growth of their clinic as it had been stagnant for a while and was basically breaking even for the last 10 years. They gave me $100,000 and said “do whatever you think is best.” Given that they were not leveraging the internet much, I focused most of my money online. To save money I did as much of the work myself instead of paying other people – I learned how to make websites, do search engine optimization, and manage Adwords accounts, among other things. In 1 year I was able turn their $100,000 marketing budget into an extra $400,000 of cash. Pretty soon dentists from all over North America were learning about me and asking for my help.

My twin and I launched our software company in 2011 and by 2013 so many of our customers had asked for web design and marketing help that I decided to branch off and start healthcaremarketing.ca.

After talking with THOUSANDS of dentists and other professionals all over North America I learned two main things:

  1. Most clinic owners have had a negative experience trying online marketing because they were mismanaged and expectations were not managed properly
  2. Dental marketing companies are very dishonest and will say whatever it takes to make a sale

I built Healthcare Marketing to fill the gap between over priced traditional agency marketing and ineffective / dishonest dental agency marketing. My goal is to provide marketing services that have a high impact on practice growth with a tangible ROI.

Estimated Google Adwords Results

By estimating cost-per-click and conversion rate (based on real data), we can calculate our estimated  traffic, leads, and new patients. These numbers are based on us buying clicks on the low end of the bid price, converting 35% of traffic to the contact page, 50% of contact page traffic to a lead, and 68% of leads to new patients. From there we can apply a $1000 short term or 1 year spend (which is the average when you factor in general and restorative or surgical patients) and divide it by the monthly investment to calculate short term ROI.

Current SEO Landscape for 42 North Dental Practices

We’ve done a comprehensive SEO audit for each 42 North Dental practice and determined which sites will be easy vs. hard to optimize based on competition and current rankings. Using that information we established the recommended SEO budget and estimated timeline for Top 3 rankings.

US CASE STUDIES

The case studies below are for U.S. clients who signed up between December 2019 – February 2020. Unless otherwise stated, the practice’s below are investing $500-$1000/m on SEO and utilize one of our SEO focused websites.

From outside the top 50 to spot #2 in 4 months!

In December of 2019 we met Dr. Lin at the Greater New York Dental Meeting. He is the owner and dentist of Glen Park Family Dentistry in Glen Burnie, MD. At the conference we ran an SEO ranking report for him and learned that he ranked outside the top 50 on Google for the two most competitive keywords “Glen Burnie dentist” and “dentist Glen Burnie”.  He also didn’t rank inside the top 10 for any keywords.

Dr. Lin signed up for one of our basic SEO packages and the results were incredible! In under 4 months we’ve been able to get him to spot #2 for “Glen Burnie Dentist” and spot #5 for “dentist Glen Burnie”. He also ranks in the top 10 for 50 additional keywords!

We met Dawn and Gen at the 2020 Yankee Dental Congress in Boston, MA. They are the manager and marketing director of Columbian Square Dental, an office in Weymouth, MA. Perry Family Dental Care hired us the take over their Google Adwords Account because their previous agency was paying $25/ click and not doing a very good job with reporting / feedback. After conducting some keywords research, we determined that Google Adwords wasn’t sustainable as a long term strategy and offered them a 1 month free SEO trial to show them that we could deliver SEO results quickly. After the first month we were able to get their Google Adwords cost per click down from $25 per click to $6/ click and get them from page 2 of Google to Page 1.
